No Shots Fired, No One Injured in Incident in Effingham Tuesday

A man was in custody Tuesday afternoon after an incident on Effingham's northwest side.

City police and Illinois State Police each had a hand in the investigation of the incident in which a vehicle struck another vehicle and then left the scene. However, contrary to reports, no shots were fired and no one was injured.

State police arrested a Judsonia, Arkansas, man, 21-year-old Kenny P.T. Warden on a series of charges Tuesday. The charges include possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a peace officer, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon, reckless driving, DUI drugs, two counts of disobeying a stop sign, parking in the roadway, aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer, and disobeying a peace officer.

Warden is being held in Effingham County Jail.
