The Effingham Water Authority acted on several items at this month's meeting.

The Board approved a request from Matthew Haynie of Illinois Bass Federation and from Jeff Niebrugge on behalf of the Illinois High School Association to waive the 2015 sticker fee for their fishing tournaments this year.

Mike Bailey spoke to Board members about concerns in regard to the speed traveled on North Shore Drive. Lake Superintendent Mike Dirks will ascertain the appropriate speed limit and post necessary signs.

Brian Larson of Red Fox Landing stated the marina at Lake Sara will be open the same hours as last year, but he will not obtain a liquor license and will sub-lease The Stage this year for a couple events. The organizers of the events will provide necessary security and insurance and will abide by the midnight curfew.

The Board approved the replat of two lots in Boos and Grunloh #2 Subdivision and two lots in Kelly and Cameron Subdivision. A bid from Lake Sara Marina for a new boat was tabled for further review and to determine if other bids need to be obtained.
