National Lutheran Schools Week Observed at Trinity Lutheran

National Lutheran Schools Week is being observed this week at Trinity Lutheran School in Stewardson.

The observance got underway with participation by students in the Sunday morning worship service at Trinity Lutheran Church. Here's what else is going on this week:

Monday, January 26--Hat, Sunglasses and Beach Day Wear your hat, sunglasses and other "beachy" attire. Lunch today includes a McRib, tater tot square, corn and dirt dessert

Tuesday, January 27--Class Color Day Pre-K wears green, Kindergarten wears orange, Grades 1-2 wear red, Grades 3-4-5 wear purple, and Grades 6-7-8 wear Blue. The menu includes corn dogs, curly fries, broccoli and cauliflower and dip and Jello

Wednesday, January 28--Dress as Your Future Career As they focus on Serving Forever, students can think about serving God in whatever career they choose. It's also Read w/a Buddy Day, where younger students are matched with older students so they can kick back and enjoy some reading time together. On the menu, Breakfast pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs with milk and juice

Thursday, January 29--Crazy Hair and PJ Day and Jump Rope for Heart Wear your pajamas and take along some crazy hair! There will also be a Jump Rope for Heart event. Lunch will be provided by Culver's Frozen Custard and Butterburgers

Friday, January 30--Wear Tie-Dye Shirt There will be a field trip to roller skate at Silver Star Skate Center. You're asked to wear your new Trinity Tie-Dye shirt. All students and parent chaperones will get a lunch of pizza, carrots and dip, grapes and dessert

Sunday, February 1--Sing at Grace All students will sing during the 10am worship service at Grace Lutheran in Strasburg, and you're asked to meet in the Grace fellowship hall. The students will then join the congregation for a potluck lunch to celebrate Lutheran Schools.  Please take along a dish to share.
