A St. Elmo man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to methamphetamine manufacturing.

46-year-old Darin Julius had been arrested in September 2013 on counts of manufacturing meth as well as possession of methamphetamine and disposing of meth manufacturing waste. During a hearing this week in Fayette County Circuit Court, Julius pleaded guilty to a meth manufacturing charge involving a smaller quantity of the drug in exchange for dismissal of the earlier charges.

Also in Fayette County Court this week, 21-year-old Brandon Oertel of Vandalia was sentenced to three years in prison on a charge of retail theft, and to three years in prison on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, with those sentences to run concurrently.

Also, 46-year-old Ricky Garner of Shumway was sentenced to two years in prison for driving while his license is revoked.
