Two Injured in Crash in Clay County Saturday

Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the Xenia-Iola Road and Kinmundy Road intersection in Clay County Saturday morning.

State police say a van driven by 50-year-old Sheila Brown of Cisne was traveling northbound on the Xenia-Iola Road when she approached the stop sign on Kinmundy Road. She reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign and began making a left turn into the path of a pickup truck driven by 47-year-old Kathy Branch of Kinmundy. Branch was traveling east on Kinmundy Road at the time.

Both Brown and Branch were taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora for treatment.

Brown was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
