Two people were injured in a crash just after noon Wednesday in Effingham.

City police say a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Debra Myers of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Melissa Vogel of Robinson, causing Vogel's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Penny McCollum of Effingham. The crash occurred east of the intersection of Fayette and Cherry.

Myers was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Vogel was injured, but refused treatment.

Myers was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
