Aaron Leonard Named to C.E.F.S. Board of Directors

Aaron Leonard was officially seated as a new board member by the C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation Board of Directors during a recent meeting in Effingham.

Leonard, an attorney at Taylor Law Offices P.C. of Flora, was designated to serve on the C.E.F.S. Board of Directors by the Head Start 0-5 Program Policy Council and will represent the client sector for Clay County on the board. He was appointed to serve on the C.E.F.S. board of Directors personnel committee, membership committee and the economic development and employment committee and was also selected to serve as the designated board member who is licensed attorney familiar with issues that come before the board to meet Head Start Act provisions.

In addition to being an associate attorney at Taylor Law Offices, P.C., Leonard is active in his community and is a member of the Clay County Shriners, Winterrowd Masonic Lodge and is affiliated with the Illinois State Bar Association, Effingham County Bar Association, Electrical Cooperative Bar Association, Effingham Chamber of Commerce, Flora Chamber of Commerce and Flora Rotary. Leonard obtained Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield and graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale.

He expressed his belief that individuals have a duty to help those in need within their communities and hopes to use his experience and volunteer service on the C.E.F.S. Board of Directors to work twoards fulfilling his goal of helping people.
