Jason Lewis, District Athletic Director, along with coaches Ben Farleigh, John Frech, Curtis Thompson and Tonni Micklautz, were present to discuss future possibilities of exploring a new athletic conference. After hearing from all, the Board directed Lewis to gain some information and bring it back to the Board during the November 20 regular meeting.

Discussion occurred around the possible sale of a bus, but no action was taken.  The Board then directed Supt. Monty Aldrich to pursue possible bids on the bus and to contact previous entities interested as well.

The Board heard from students interested in forming a LARPing club. LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing where students would dress in character and the playing of board games such as Dungeons and Dragons. Students were originally requesting use of the building for meetings and games.

North Clay students Christian Oliver and George Bonham attended the board meeting to discuss their propsal. Oliver presented that 20 plus students had signed up or shown interest in joining the club. After more discussion, it was agreed that students would go back to their potential sponsor, Jerin Romack, North Clay Guidance Counselor, so that she could formally make a Building Use Request if she desired. More information will be given to the Board for a decision at the next meeting.

Supt. Aldrich discussed with the Board options for the Rural and Low Income Development Grant. Aldrich will report back to the board in November with more information on these items and getting quotes and bids on each.
