TSI Graphics Downsizing, Changing Name

A longtime Effingham employer plans to downsize and is changing its name.

TSI Graphics is becoming TSI evolve. TSI Director of Operations Bob Ahillen said the company will have a local presence, but will also be reducing its workforce from 28 to five fulltime employees, as well as the possibility of a work presence at home. Ahillen said a move is also possible to a storefront location from its current 32,000 square foot operation in the Effingham Business Park. He said employees are aware of the changes and a meeting is planned next week to give them additional information.

Ahillen said of those 28 employees, not all are from Effingham; seven or eight are out-of-state. He said the employees affected by the changes have petitioned the Department of Labor for job retraining services. The employees, he said, qualify for the assistance since TSI will be changing to offshore vendors in Asia, Europe and South America. He said the changes will be completed over the next few months.

TSI has been operating at their current Effingham location for 42 years.
