Responding to a request from a village resident, Teutopolis Village Board members Wednesday voted to upgrade an intersection from a two-way stop to a four-way stop.

The intersection of Wooden Shoe Road, Deutsch Road and 1400th Avenue is now a two-way stop; the Board agreed to make it a four-way stop to control the speed and flow of vehicles through the intersection.

The Board approved a switch for the Village Hall and the Water Treatment Plant from Frontier to Mediacom. The change should be completed later this month, is for three years, and covers both internet and phone service.

There was no action on whether to collect yard waste at the village maintenance building, as Village Foreman Carl Pals could not attend the meeting. Board members are wanting to know whether village employees will staff the site on the Saturday mornings when the collection is scheduled before they approve the plan.
