A Benton, Kentucky man has been sentenced in Effingham County Circuit Court to three years in prison for aggravated DUI.

33-year-old John A. Cox had been eligible for an extended term, but attorneys for both sides had agreed in May to seek a maximum four-year sentence.

Cox was arrested on the aggravated DUI count in January.
