Teutopolis school board members met new employees of the district at this week's meeting.

The members include Andrew Breeden, Cassidy Klitzing, Brittany Meyer, Tom Bauserman, Tonya Mersman and Jane Austin.

The Board also heard a presentation from the Steering Commitee for the Construction Trades class that is being proposed to start in Effingham County, and heard that a hearing on the proposed budget for the new year will be held at the September 15 meeting.

The Board approved the resignation of Debbie Stephens as JV tennis coach and hired Terry Kimpling as high school assistant tennis coach for JV matches. The Board approved student teacher Andrea McCormick to student teach with Melissa Orndorff for the fall semester, approved $75,000 in payments for roof work at the high school building, and added a couple of bus stops in the northeast part of Teutopolis for safety reasons.

The Board approved the tentative budget for the coming year and accepted an insurance renewal that shows an increase of about 10% over last year's rates.
