Cumberland school board members met this month with its new administrative lineup in place.

Todd Butler, after a year's preparation, has taken over as district superintendent after John Hasten filled in for a year followed Russell Ragon's departure. Kevin Maynard moves up to succeed Butler as high school principal, and Stacy Keyser has begun work as middle school principal, succeeding Maynard. Todd Hall remains as elementary school principal.

Butler reported that work has been completed on resurfacing the school track, and reminded that school district registration at Cumberland will take place on August 5 from 8am to 8pm in the high school cafeteria.

The Board renewed the district's commercial insurance with Liberty Mutual through Mihlbachler Insurance Agency of Effingham, and accepted the resignation of Peggy Stewart as grade school custodian.
