Three people were injured in a crash Friday in Effingham at Ford and Raney.

City police say a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Lottie Shook of Greenup struck a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Marian Frye of Effingham just before noon. Shook, Frye and a passenger in Frye's vehicle, 60-year-old Rose O'Dell of Ingraham, were all injured. Shook was taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Frye and O'Dell refused treatment.

Shook was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.

State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred during the noon hour Friday. The crash occurred at the westbound I-70 rest area near Altamont.

Police say a pedestrian, 44-year-old Michael Montoya of Rockford, told them he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.

Montoya was treated at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
