Person Injured in Crash at Keller and Evergreen

A passenger in a vehicle was injured in a crash Tuesday evening in Effingham.

City police say 36-year-old Carrie Boarman of Shelbyville was riding in a vehicle involved in a crash just before 7:30pm north of the intersection of Keller Drive and Evergreen Avenue. Boarman was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Police say a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Danielle Lowry of Altamont turned in front of, and collided with, a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Eddie Boarman of Shelbyville, the vehicle in which Carrie Boarman was riding.

Police cited Lowry for failure to yield.
