Today's scheduled appearance in court by Christine Burr has been continued to Monday morning, the day her murder trial is to begin.

The 57-year-old Burr faces three counts of first degree murder and one count of concealment of a homicidal death. She is accused of fatally stabbing Joseph Delaney of Effingham in Burr's apartment and of helping two co-defendants dispose of Delaney's body in rural Jasper County.

The Thursday hearing was scheduled for a possible plea, and that is still a possibility at the Monday hearing, even though jury selection for Burr's trial is scheduled to begin that morning.

Burr remains in custody in Effingham County Jail.
