Dr. Charles Runde was recently named St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital's Physicians' Values Award recipient. It's the fifth year for the award, given to the physician who most represents the hospital's four core values - Respect, Care, Competence and Joy.

Dr. Runde was selected for the award by a committee of previous Physicians' Values Award winners among 21 nominations. The hospital says he was selected, "for exemplifying the hospital's four Core Values every day".

The nomination for Dr. Runde included quotes from others saying, "As a longstanding member of our Medical Staff, he is well respected for both his clinical acumen and his leadership. He has served in nearly every leadership position and has helped to advance the quality of our Medical Staff and our service to the community."

"He clearly cares about his community and has been able to expand his clinic and recruit additional providers. His dedication and compassion for his patients is evident as he continues to deliver care from birth to death."

"Offering humble but sincere advice demonstrates mutual respect that has made him a valuable colleague and friend."

"Rarely without a smile, it is evident that Dr. Runde is passionate about his work and truly enjoys caring for his patients and the community."
