The suspect apprehended following a chase from Sullivan to northwest of Effingham Tuesday afternoon has been identified.

33-year-old Franklin Lee, Jr. was being sought in an attempted murder investigation in Macon County. It's alleged Lee stabbed another individual. When a person matching Lee's description was spotted at a Dollar General store in Lovington, a Moultrie County sheriff's deputy was dispatched. A pursuit followed into Sullivan and then south on Illinois Route 32 through Windsor, Strasburg and Stewardson to the junction with Illinois Route 33 northwest of Effingham, where Effingham County sheriff's deputies were waiting. The suspect vehicle stopped and Lee was taken into custody without further incident.
