One Injured in Crash Near Keller and Temple; Burglaries Also in City

One person was injured in a crash north of the intersection of Keller Drive and Temple Avenue just after 2pm Wednesday.

City police say a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Jessica Woods of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Jessica Dye of Effingham, causing Dye's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Chatman Ruholl of Effingham.

A passenger in Ruholl's vehicle, 22-year-old Sara Siemer of Effingham, was injured but declined treatment.

No citations were issued.

City police are also investigating a residential burglary in the 1200 block of South 4th Street just after 11am Wednesday.

No items were reported stolen, but damage was done to a window lock, window screen, door knob and door frame.

Police also investigated a burglary at Ewida Auto Sales at 600 West Wabash that occurred sometime between 4pm Monday and noon Wednesday. Various tools were taken along with an air gun. An air conditioner was damaged in the incident.
