South Central, North Clay Boards Take Action at Recent Meetings

The South Central and North Clay school boards took several actions at recent meetings.

At Kinmundy, the South Central board hired Glass and Shuffett to do the district's annual audit; placed an amended fiscal year budget on display until the June 23 meeting; adopted board policy changes as well as middle school handbook changes; and awarded bids for various commodities.

The South Central board approved leaves of absence for Lonnie Tipsword and Sarah Payne; hired Kimberly Major and Claire Potthast as certified staff for next school year; accepted an irrevocable intent to retire letter from Cindy Nielson effective at the end of the 2017-18 school year; accepted the resignation of Courtney Daugherty as middle school volleyball coach; and accepted the resignation of Kara Short as high school yearbook sponsor.

At Louisville, the North Clay board voted to expel two students for the 2014-15 school year; accepted the resignation of David Roush as band teacher and the resignation of Denise Smith as class sponsor, both effective at the end of the 2013-14 school year; and accepted the resignation of Kathy Griffith as custodian, effective May 26.
