Shelby County State's Attorney Gina Vonderheide said a Cowden man has been sentenced to three years in prison.

33-year-old Kenneth S. Loss was sentenced after pleading guilty April 16 to unlawful failure to register as a sex offender.  Loss was charged in January with failing to inform the Shelby County Sheriff's Department of his return to the county upon his release from the Marion County Detention Center.  He's required to register based on an Effingham County conviction in 2007 of public indecency/lewd exposure.
