Wheeler Man Injured in ATV Crash

A Wheeler man was injured in an ATV crash Saturday afternoon.

State police say a four-wheeler operated by 37-year-old Steven Everett ran off a rural Jasper County road and struck a gas main, causing the ATV to overturn.

Everett was lifeflighted from the scene to Carle Hospital in Urbana.  He was cited for DUI, unlawful operation of an ATV on a roadway and other traffic charges.

The crash occurred just before 5pm in a rural part of Jasper County.
