The Effingham Noon Rotary Club heard about the 2013 United Way of Effingham County fund drive at their meeting July 25.
A member of Noon Rotary, Linda Hemmen, is Chief Professional Officer for United Way and shared along with Campaign Chair Mel Stock of 5/3 Bank about the coming year's campaign, which will begin in October. United Way Board President Peggy Valenti of Koerner Distributor was also on hand for the presentation.
21 people-helping agencies will receive funds from this year's United Way fund drive, which has a goal of $290,000.
