Couple Married Last Month Wins Over $20 Million

Taylorville newlyweds Steve and Wilma Durbin are multimillionaires after buying an Illinois Lottery ticket.

A ruined meal is what led to their fortune.  On April 10, Wilma's steaks didn't turn out the way she wanted after cooking them.  Steve went to the Kroger store in Taylorville to buy some replacement steaks.  He also purchased a $10 Quick Pick ticket, from which he was able to match all six numbers for $20.25 million.

The one-time payout is worth $8 million.
