Tara Devoe of Shumway and Nathaniel Sparks of Beecher City made their initial court appearances Tuesday in their methamphetamine cases.

The 18-year-old Devoe is charged with aggravated participation in meth manufacturing while Sparks is charged with possession of methamphetamine.  The charges stem from the seizure of materials from a residence in rural Shumway.

Devoe will be represented by local attorney Ed Deters, while Aaron Jones will represent Sparks.  Both are due back in court on April 22; Devoe for a status hearing, Sparks for a bond hearing and arraignment.

Two other individuals arrested in the incident are to make their initial appearances on Wednesday; 20-year-old Cody Laue of Beecher City is charged with aggravated participation in meth manufacturing, 38-year-old Stacey Beccue of Altamont is charged with unlawful possession of meth.
