The North Clay School Board met in special session Tuesday evening, and selected a new high school Principal.

Keith Price was hired as Principal of North Clay High School for the 2014-15 school year after a 6-0 vote by the board, with board member David Simmons abstaining. Price will succeed the retiring Julie Healy.

Also during open session, Simmons made a motion to suspend suspend teachers David Roush and Stephanie Harrison for three days without pay. That motion died for a lack of a second.

Board members Ryan Ballard and Tony Smith then put forth separate motions to suspend Roush and Harrisson each for one day without pay and for both to be issued a letter of reprimand. Both motions were passed with a 6-1 majority, with Board President Mike Worthey voting against.
